UNITARIAN UNIVERSALISM

Unitarian Universalism is a free, liberal religious faith with its historical roots in the Jewish and Christian traditions. We believe that personal experience, conscience and reason should be the final authorities in religion, and that in the end religious authority lies not in a book or person or institution, but in ourselves. We have no creed or dogma that you must accept to call yourself a Unitarian Universalist. We do have a Statement of Purposes and Principles that congregations agree to uphold.

Our church is a member of the Canadian Unitarian Council (CUC) and has close associations with the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA). These are organizations which connect us with over 150,000 Unitarians and Universalists across North America. The local church is governed by its own elected board. More broadly we are associated with the International Council of Unitarians and Universalists represented around the world.
